I had dropped off 4 quilts at a quilt shop to have them quilted (I feel like I need synonyms there, but those are all right, lol). I dropped one off end of May, and 3 of middle of June. They called me yesterday and said my quilts were ready. I said "all 4?", she said "there are 3 here" and described them which were the 3 June ones. I said "how about the May one?", she said she didn't have it with the ones that were just returned (they have multiple stores and send the quilts to one central location) but would check the back. The missing quilt was a gift for someone, I had appliqued his name in the center, so I'm freaking out a little. I'm worried the it was dropped on the way to the car or it was being held for ransom or something. 4 agonizing minutes later, she called me back - they had the quilt in the back. (Quick background - I'm from Arizona, living in Washington) She said the note said they called and left a message with the University of Washington front desk. My phone number is an Arizona number, so they dialed the WA area code + my number. So everything's okay now, but omg, that was scary for a few minutes.
