It's not especially epic, but I like to have a cross stitch project to pick up and put down in between all my other work. They usually end up long term for me because I find I can't spend every day on them without wanting to shoot myself. Right now I've been working on The Guardian since Christmas 2013. This is progress by end of January: And this is it this week:

Beginning of June update: Its actually been my primary crafting option this month as I procrastinate further and further on the other things I keep meaning to do and I got excited because I managed to finish working on trees and work on ears for a change!

July update. Less progress cause my wrists were sore in June and the full cross stitches slowed me down a bit.

July's progress. Had a ridiculously productive July, and this was where my frenzy got directed when I was sick of the other projects I was working on.

August & September progress. Not a huge amount as I've been doing other things, but I did find the far corner! I'm thinking I should start on some of the additional bits, like the couching and backstitching so that I can start rolling down. I will probably get a decent chunk done this month as I've flights to and from Canada coming up that I'll take this on.

Update for Oct and Nov. Didn't end up taking it on my trip, so didn't get as much done as I'd thought, but I'm back to working on this at my weekly game, so its moving forward again.

It got delayed a lot while I did embroidery on leather for my Korra. But now that that's "done" at least for now, I can do this again.

It helped that I had lots of travel time to fill. I don't read well in vehicles, but I can stitch!
