Hey guys! I'm Marc from The Rice Hat Samurai studio. >^^< I'm a mailler turned goldsmith, still do a bit of chain work and some heavy maille. I specialize in stuff like this and this. I do more classical jewellery when asked to, but those aren't nearly as fun as what I make for conventions. Oh. Yeah. I also work a good chunk of the southern Ontario convention world. I also do the ocassional mailling job every now and then, prefering to do heavy armours (12ga) and slightly more challenging pieces like gauntlets and fitted tops. Outside of what I craft, I'm a pretty big gamer. Mostly handheld gaming these days since my livingroom isn't set up to really do console gaming at the moment. Intending to start streaming DS and 3DS games on twitch once I have the time and the streaming rig to do it. Aside from gaming I'm also a novice costumer.

I love the ring! Its so rare to meet smiths these days. My grandfather was a silversmith and the ring you did reminds me a lot of the type of work he did, although he didn't do anything quite so geeky. Lovely stuff!

Agreed, it's a pleasure to meet a smith and even more so when they do such great work! The Triforce ring is exquisite, and I look forward to checking out more of your work!

So I forgot to mention how and why Marc is here! Just like Allison and Liz were brought on to help out and mentor people with certain things I also brought Marc on. Marc won't be contributing to the blog but he has YEARS of con experience and will be a fantastic mentor to our Craft Hacker members. In return I am going to help him take his business to the next level! So if Marc gives you any constructive criticism, that is his job!
