I was inspired by seeing a chainmail Jayne Hat at a charity auction. I decided then and there to get into chainmail. I made my own hat less than a month later. I then decided to put them on Etsy and sold one fairly quickly. I have since expanded my collection of patterns (not actual products yet...needed to save up a bit of seed money) and have decided to try my hand at selling at nerdy conventions. I have sold a few things to friends, but want to share my craft with a wider audience. I got a lot of positive response to the Jaynemail Hat while at AwesomeCon in DC, and that is where I discovered this site and decide to get into this business for reals. Below is the hat.

Love it! Chainmail seems a bit tedious for me (I'm sure people say that about cross stitching) so all the power to you.

My sister and I saw your hat at Awesome Con and loved it as well! It's such a great and unique idea, and I really agree that there is little to no representation in your medium. Do you have any other finished projects you'd care to show off?
